Beginners

At the Warwickshire Triathlon our “Fun” and “Sprint” distances are very popular with first timers and beginners, with short achievable distances that still offer a challenge.

Our fun & friendly events are open to everyone and an ideal introduction for beginners to the sport of triathlon.

We can offer lots of support and online beginners advice to help make your Triathlon the best it could possibly be for you.

As well as a great atmosphere, you are sure to gain a special sense of achievement as you cross the finish line to receive that all important “finishers” medal and confirmation the end result was worth every bit of hard work!

CRUK Wave @WarwickshireTriathlon

CRUK text Warwickshire.jpg

UK Triathlon and Cancer Research UK are proud to announce the launch of the CRUK Wave. The CRUK Wave is aimed at encouraging more participants, of any age, gender or ability, to unite and take on a challenge for the purpose of funding life-saving research into all 200 types of cancer.

This change comes after the success of the UK Triathlon Pink Wave, it reflects the movement towards a more inclusive environment for all participants who want to complete a triathlon at their own speed, whilst raising money for life-saving research.

We want to encourage everyone to have a go! Any age, any ability, just get together for the camaraderie and challenge, whilst raising vital funds for research into beating cancer.

UK Triathlon will donate £10 from every CRUK Wave entry to Cancer Research UK. Cancer Research UK is a registered charity in England and Wales (No. 1089464) and Scotland (No. SC041666)

Course Maps

The race starts from the 33 metre heated indoor pool in the leisure centre, followed by a one lap cycle course which heads out towards the town of Warwick, in the Warwickshire countryside, before returning to Stratford for the final discipline.

The run is out alongside the picturesque river Avon and back to the Leisure and Visitor Centre to the finish line. The run course is once out and back for The Fun Triathlon and twice out and back for the Sprint and Relay Triathlon.

The course is spectator friendly and all the action can be seen at the rear of the Leisure Centre where the main transition area and finish line are situated.

Feedback

Warwickshire Triathlon

Was my first go at a triathlon, and I had such a wonderful time. Winning a prize made it even more special, so thank you so much! Kind Regards,

Maggie

Just a quick note

To say well done to everyone including the marshals for another fantastic day at the Warwickshire Tri on Sunday, this and the Stratford will now become a regular in my race calendar entry.

Nigel

Thanks for putting on a great race yesterday

At the Warwickshire triathlon, as my first competitive race for 20 years I was pleased with the result and you will almost certainly see more of me at next year’s events.
